Pipedrive

General-purpose sales CRM · Pipedrive · www.pipedrive.com

A pipeline-first sales CRM that is easy to learn and inexpensive to start. It has no insurance concepts at all, which makes it simple for new-business tracking and unsuitable on its own as a book of record.

What it costs

Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $49 and Ultimate $79 per seat per month on annual billing; monthly billing is $24, $49, $79 and $99. Note the tier names changed in late 2025 — older articles still refer to Essential, Advanced, Professional, Power and Enterprise.

Trial and access: Free trial with self-serve signup, no sales call.

Who it suits

  • Solo producers and small teams tracking new business only
  • Agencies that keep policies in a carrier portal or separate AMS
  • Teams that want to be running this week, not this quarter
  • Anyone who found their AMS too heavy for sales tracking

What it does well

  • Among the easiest CRMs to learn — a new producer can be productive the same day.
  • Fully published per-seat pricing with a low entry tier.
  • Very large body of independent tutorial content.
  • Clean API and a broad marketplace for bolting on the missing pieces.

Where it falls short

  • No insurance data model whatsoever — no policies, renewals, carriers or commissions.
  • Per-seat pricing scales badly for an agency adding licensed producers.
  • Automation and reporting depth sit well below the enterprise CRMs.
  • You will need additional tools for compliant SMS, calling and document handling.
